The Barossa Valley, located about an hour northeast of Adelaide in South Australia, is one of the country’s most celebrated and historic wine regions. Famed for its bold, full-bodied Shiraz, the Barossa is also home to some of the world’s oldest continuously producing grapevines, dating back to the 1840s. The landscape is a patchwork of rolling vineyards, charming villages, and heritage stone buildings that reflect the region’s strong German settler roots.
Beyond wine, the Barossa offers rich culinary experiences, with local artisans crafting everything from traditional smallgoods to fine cheeses and preserves. With its deep winemaking legacy, warm hospitality, and scenic beauty, the Barossa Valley remains a quintessential destination for lovers of wine, food, and culture.
This is a medium weight style of Shiraz from Four In Hand reflects the regional characteristic of the fruit. The generous palate boasts of Barossa dark fruit and black chocolate characters enhanced by oak influence. These appealing flavours are coupled with moderate alcohol and soft tannins to lead to a long finish. This red wine can be enjoyed upon release or aged in the cellar for 5 to 7 years.
The Dirtman Shiraz is a masterfully crafted wine that marries the boldness of black fruits with the nuanced influences of toasty oak, brown spices, and dark chocolate.
By combining traditional and modern winemaking techniques we are able to make handcrafted wines of complexity, depth and intensity. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant, dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from 18 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Red colour with great depth. Unmistakably Cabernet Sauvignon on the nose; blackcurrant, tobacco, tea leaf, earth and floral notes. The palate shows a full-bodied wine with cigar box flavours and blackberry characters. The rich mid-palate is followed by fine tannins and exceptional length.
