Pinot Gris is a fruit forward white wine grape variety that is a mutation of Pinot Noir. It's known for its diverse expressions, ranging from light and crisp with floral notes and honey to rich and full-bodied spice and savoury notes, largely depending on where it's grown and how it's made.
The name "gris" (French) and "grigio" (Italian) both mean "grey," referring to the grayish-blue to reddish-pink hue of the grape skins.
Grapes from New Zealand bring stunning intensity and flavour to our Pinot Gris. The palate is full and juicy, with ripe apple and citrus coming through up front, leading into a long, luscious stone fruit finish. A refreshingly smooth and balanced drop.
