Fiano is a white grape variety native to Southern Italy. As such these grapes thrive in the slightly warmer Langhorne Creek region of South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula.
Aces & Arrows Vermentino is a modern and intriguing twist on a traditional Mediterranean style, with vibrant scents of jasmine and lime zest counterbalanced by uplifting grapefruit and white peach.
Fiano is a medium-bodied white wine originating from Italy. The variety has a kinship with warm weather and dry climates. Pale straw in colour with green tinge. Bursting with tropical fruits, citrus blossom and hints of hazelnut. Upfront it displays crisp green apple and white peach with underlying honeysuckle characteristics.
Vermentino has a similar palate weight and profile to Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. On the palate there are notes of lime, almond, green apple, white florals and refreshing acidity. Vermentino is a late ripening variety with long and loose bunches. Vermentino is a “more textural, complex style, it needs to be allowed to ripen.
Our Family Crest Fiano is grown in a small patch at our certified Organic and Biodynamic Warboys Vineyard, located in the Seaview sub region of McLaren Vale within 6 kilometres of the cooling coast of Gulf St Vincent.
Bright, crisp, dry and fruit driven. Stylistically, we feel our Vermentino sits somewhere between a zesty Pinot Grigio and a fruit forward and floral Riesling.
Pale lime in colour with silver hues. Fresh aromas of green apple and lemon sherbet leads into a crisp and fruity palate. Lush flavours of lime, pineapple and honeydew melon flourish with crisp acidity providing a mineral aspect to the long persistent finish.
This is their Reserve label white blend made up of 45% Viognier, 42% Grenache and 13% Marsanne. It’s a really delicious Rhone Valley white blend that’ll appeal to Chardonnay lovers!
The colour is pale straw with green hues. On the nose the wine has hints of white flowers, citrus lift with some subtle dry herb and hazelnut aromas. The palate has a citrus line, is rich and textural, and finishes with a focused drive. The barrel fermented component of the wine adds complexity, warmth and provides spice and hazelnut on the finish.
