The Mount Benson wine region is a burgeoning cool-climate area located in the southeastern corner of South Australia, approximately 300 km from Adelaide and nestled between the towns of Kingston SE and Robe. Part of the broader Limestone Coast zone, it boasts a maritime climate heavily influenced by the Southern Ocean, which moderates temperatures and extends the growing season.

The region's vineyards are planted on gently undulating terrain with loam-based terra rossa soils over limestone, creating ideal conditions for viticulture. Since the first commercial plantings in the late 1980s, Mount Benson has developed a reputation for producing premium wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio. With approximately 600 hectares under vine and several cellar doors welcoming visitors, the region offers both exceptional wines and a picturesque coastal experience.
