Langmeil Wines

Langmeil Wines is a historic and family-run winery in the heart of the Barossa Valley, celebrated for preserving some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world. The estate’s roots trace back to 1842 when it was founded by European settlers, and its famed Freedom Shiraz vineyard, planted in 1843, is believed to be the oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard on the planet.

Revived in the 1990s by the Lindner family, Langmeil is dedicated to traditional winemaking methods, sustainable practices, and minimal intervention, producing wines that honour Barossa’s rich heritage and unique terroir. Signature wines include the Freedom 1843 Shiraz, Orphan Bank Shiraz, and Valley Floor Shiraz, each reflecting the depth, intensity, and elegance for which the region is known.
