Shiraz! A truly captivating red wine variety, especially here in Australia where it has found a home. Often referred to as Syrah in other parts of the world (most notably its birthplace, the Rhône Valley in France), Shiraz in Australia has developed its own distinct personality.
It is a wine that bursts forth with bold and generous dark fruit flavours. Think ripe blackberries, juicy plums, and sometimes even a hint of dark cherry. Depending on the region and the winemaker's touch, you might also discover layers of warm spice like black pepper, clove, and even a whisper of licorice.
