Rye whiskey, made from at least 51% rye, is typically spicier and drier, with bold, peppery flavors.

Other styles include Tennessee Whiskey, similar to bourbon but filtered through charcoal (Lincoln County Process) for added smoothness, and corn whiskey, which uses at least 80% corn and may be unaged or lightly aged.
