Pelican’s Landing Maritime Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery and the second vineyard established on Hindmarsh Island, in the Southern Fleurieu region. Founded by winemaker Helen Marzola, the estate transformed 32ha of former cattle farmland into a vineyard planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Viognier—first producing grapes in 2004.
The wines are made using traditional, handcrafted methods—hand-picked fruit, open fermenters, basket pressing, and barrel ageing—that strongly reflect the maritime climate of the region. Their Cabernet Sauvignon—like the celebrated Mr Percival—has earned high praise, including Gold at Vinitaly and stellar reviews from James Halliday.
