The Margaret River wine region, located in the southwest corner of Western Australia, is one of the country's most prestigious and internationally acclaimed wine areas. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with strong maritime influence, the region enjoys a long, consistent growing season ideal for producing premium wines. Cabernet Sauvignon is the standout red, known for its power, structure, and elegance, often blended with Merlot in a Bordeaux style.
Chardonnay is equally celebrated, offering richness, fine acidity, and subtle oak integration. Margaret River is also famous for its crisp, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc–Semillon blends, which display vibrancy and freshness. With a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and estate-grown fruit, Margaret River combines exceptional wines with stunning coastal landscapes, luxury cellar doors, gourmet food experiences, and a thriving wine tourism culture.
Evans and Tate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, clear pale lemon-green in colour with aroma of fresh cut grass, passion fruit with a hint of elderflower on the nose. Dry medium body and intensity of crisp green apple and ripe stone fruits with hints of green pepper on the palate. Great acidity structure with a medium to long finish. True to the classic.
A supremely confident and self-assured wine, with exceptionally bright yet intense red and blue fruits, and spice. Texture is wonderful, the acid tannins balance perfect and the finish a beautiful amalgam of fine fruit tannins and cedary, chewy oak tannins which add complexity. An amazing wine comprising 86% Shiraz and 14% Fer. Fer is an ancient varietal, likely of Basque country origin which is widely planted in Southwest France, and generally makes up 100% of reds coming out of the Marcilliac region. It is one of the grandparents of the superb Carmenere varietal and is prized for its impenetrable black coloring and density of fruit. Flavours sit in the blackberry, cherry and black tea spectrums, and the variety also typically offers a pleasing smokiness.
