False Cape Wines

False Cape Wines is a family-owned winery located on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and handcrafted wines. Established in 1999 by Julie and Jamie Helyar, the vineyard spans over 60 acres along the picturesque Willson River on the Dudley Peninsula.

The winery's cellar door, opened in December 2019, is constructed from recycled materials, including jetty timbers and local limestone, offering a rustic yet inviting atmosphere amidst native gum trees and vineyard views. Award-winning winemaker Greg Follett, Julie's brother and the force behind Lake Breeze Wines, crafts a diverse range of wines at False Cape, encompassing varietals such as Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Gris.
