Clare Valley, located about 90 minutes north of Adelaide in South Australia, is a picturesque and historic wine region best known for producing some of Australia’s finest Rieslings. Its combination of warm days and cool nights—thanks to its elevated position—creates ideal conditions for crisp, aromatic white wines with vibrant acidity and remarkable aging potential.
The region also excels in Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, often showing elegance and spice. Clare Valley is defined by its rolling hills, stone cottages, and charming towns like Sevenhill and Auburn, offering a relaxed, country atmosphere. With a rich winemaking history dating back to the 1850s, a strong commitment to sustainability, and the scenic Riesling Trail for cyclists and walkers, Clare Valley blends tradition, beauty, and innovation in every glass.
The Jim Barry Annabelle's Rose 750ml showcases a bouquet of strawberries, cherries, and a hint of floral undertones, leading to a palate that sings with crisp raspberry and a touch of spice. Crafted in the picturesque hills of Clare Valley, this rose is made with a blend of grapes that thrive in the cool climate, offering a wine that is both lively and layered. It's an excellent choice for those who appreciate a rose that's both sophisticated and accessible, perfect for gatherings or a quiet evening at home
Just as the two previous generations brought new and innovative viticultural and winemaking ideas to Jim Barry Wines, we are determined to forge our individual mark. We are fortunate to be able to source fruit from our family owned vineyards to create this medium-bodied Shiraz, made in the style that we enjoy drinking. Minimal oak, bright red fruits and gentle tannins work together to produce a juicy, fresh wine.
Spiced blue and black fruits leading the nose, intertwined with high class oak. The wine is youthful and vibrant with hints of black pepper, black plum, and a spicy lift. On entry, the palate is all blue and black fruits with integrated oak, then moves into a bunch like spice, married with violets and black pepper, finishing back in the blue compote spectrum. A layered and detailed for those on the lookout. Delicious!
