Chapel Hill Wine

Chapel Hill Winery, nestled in McLaren Vale, South Australia, is renowned for its rich history and commitment to producing premium wines. Established in 1972 by Professor Tom Nelson, the winery occupies the historic Seaview Chapel, an 1865 ironstone building that serves as the centerpiece of its tasting room. The vineyard, planted in 1972 with the first vintage in 1975, thrives on the edge of the Onkaparinga Gorge, benefiting from shallow, rocky soils and panoramic views of McLaren Vale and Gulf St Vincent.

Chapel Hill is celebrated for its Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache, crafted with a focus on purity and balance. Under the guidance of winemaker Pam Dunsford during the 1980s and 1990s, the winery gained recognition as one of Australia's most iconic boutique wine brands. Today, Chapel Hill continues to uphold its legacy, offering visitors a blend of fine wine, heritage, and art in a picturesque setting.
