Pinot Gris is a fruit forward white wine grape variety that is a mutation of Pinot Noir. It's known for its diverse expressions, ranging from light and crisp with floral notes and honey to rich and full-bodied spice and savoury notes, largely depending on where it's grown and how it's made.
The name "gris" (French) and "grigio" (Italian) both mean "grey," referring to the grayish-blue to reddish-pink hue of the grape skins.
